Those are so cute! Hopefully sometime soon, I can actually sit down and write a longer post. But I am going to be a little busy today. I have a WIC appointment in 2 hours then I am headed up to mom's to work on jewelry and get all the packages I need to mail all ready. We are headed out of town tomorrow. We are going on a mini-sailing trip. I will get lots of pictures of that!

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date..
Well not really, but I am a little late getting these Easter pictures posted. Jack looked AMAZING, of course, in his new suit grandma bought him. =] He wasn't too interested in the eggs though.

Etsy addict
I really am an Etsy addict. Well really I am an internet addict. I sort of plan my day around it. I am rarely not on the internet. I am either checking my email throughout the day on the iPod touch or sitting in front of the computer (or making jewelry). That is why my house looks the way it does. It is sad, really. I mean really, really sad and pathetic. I know it is, but I just love the internet and I love Etsy. You know, I read that they have recovery houses for this kind of thing...hmmm. Anyway, this post is not to talk about how pathetic I am so much as to list my favorite Etsy things.

Ames, from Sparkle Rocks, is the most amazing sweet girl. I love her to death! Her jewelry is also really great! Here are the things I have bought from her recently:

J'adore! I have the peace sign necklace already, now I am just waiting for the other three. I am so excited about the rings. And the more I look at that necklace the more I love it. Please check out her shop, but don't buy the things I want. Unless you are buying them for me! *cough*pandanecklacelittleponynecklacehellokittynecklacepinkteapotringmushroomearrings*cough* =]
Another great Etsy seller is Terra, from Peaced Together. She is such a sweetheart and her skirts are so cute! I bought one a while back (I sold my wedding dress so I have money, can you tell?). I love this skirt! Look:

I just love it! Please check her shop out as well. Oh and while your at it, you might as well take a look at mine. I just added some great new jewelry. And I have a bunch more to add so keep an eye out!!
P.S. I will try to get some pictures of Jack up soon!

Old friends, new friends and a tired, screaming baby
This last weekend we went over to the Olympia area for a friend's wedding. We had a really great time! Mark said it was the best visit he has had over there. The wedding was really great and it was great for Mark to catch up with all his old friends and it was neat for me to get to meet the few that I hadn't yet met. We stayed at Micah and Disney's although they were in Moses Lake. We weren't there much of the time anyway. We arrived Friday evening and went pretty much straight to bed. Saturday morning we left early for Yelm and met up with Mark's friend, Jason. We all ran a few errands then headed to Centraila together for the wedding. We finally got back to Micah and Disney's around 9. In the morning, we drove to Olympia for church and went out for lunch with some friends after church. That morning we had checked the pass and it didn't look that great. So we headed out soon after lunch. We hit the pass around 5 and as we started ascending the rain turned into snow and Jack's heaving breathing turned into screaming. The snow got heavier and thicker but Mark was handling everything very well. I am deathly afraid of snow on the roadway so this was excruciatingly hard for me, not to mention Jack's screaming. We were about 3/4 of the way up the pass and just about to round a corner when there was someone stopped in the middle of the road. So we had to stop too. But then we couldn't get going again. We just started sliding backwards and into the other lane. Mark finally got us back into our lane but we thought we would have to wait for someone to pull us out. Mark is a really great driver and God was definitely with us because we were able to back up and finally get going. It was slow and painful and the wind was blowing about 30 mph so it was complete whiteout conditions at times, but we made it. Jack screamed all the way over the pass, finally we were able to stop and feed him and that helped a little. As we were about 40 miles out of Yakima we could see a little blue sky and sunshine between the mountains and we knew that was Yakima, our little oasis. Sometimes, I just love where we live!

Finally....
My Etsy shop is up. I am slowly adding things and building my shop. It is still a work in progress so don't be too critical. I was just adding things and the site shut down for a scheduled maintenance so I took that as a cue to get offline for the night. But I will add some more in the morning. Here are a few things I have listed.

Those are some of my favorite anyway. Well I better get some sleep, because I am sure Jack will be up soon! 'Night!

Going, going..WHAT!!
This Saturday was Jaycilyn's Melody Lane show and silent auction. I put so much hard work into this, you wouldn't even believe it. I was so rushed and worked SO HARD on Saturday to get everything done in time. Altogether I made; 2 skirts, 2 matching headbands, 4 placemats, 4 coasters, 2 coffee sleeves, a tutu, a batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, 2 loaves of pumpkin loaf, chocolate cupcakes and a jewelry box. I was so excited, but I guess I had too high of expectations. It seems people had a tight hold on their wallets this year! One of my skirts/headband set went for $2.50, the other one went for...drumroll please! $0.75!!! I can't believe that! I worked so hard!! The tutu went for 5.50 (the starting bid was $5) and then the baskets I made went for like $2-$3. Although, the jewelry box I made went for $11. But it wasn't just my stuff that wasn't going for very much. I saw a $30 gift certificate to a coffee stand that went for $2 and some really great aprons that went for $1-$2. I just couldn't believe how ridiculous that was. That isn't fair to the people who put their stuff in and it isn't fair to the kids who were getting that money credited to their accounts! Oh well I guess. Now I know. Here are some pictures of the things I made.

Well I am hoping to open my Etsy shop today. I will let you know when that is up. Hopefully things will be a little more profitable there!
